This was very, very loosely based on Smittenkitchen's mushroom marsala pasta bake. But I skipped more than half the ingredients and never baked it. I had some yummy maitake mushrooms that needed to be used, so I sauteed them with shallots (not onions), added merlot (not marsala) then mixed it with pasta and parmesan (skipping the mozarella and a lot of other things) and ate it (skipping the baking). It was pretty good and would have been better with more cheese of course.
