Eggplant and the big tomato

Wasn't sure what kind this eggplant was or when to pick it, but after staring at the seed packets (have seeds for 5 varieties), it must be the purple blush hybrid. I'll let it get a little bigger and more purple before picking. It's been hot so the plant should be happy, maybe more fruits will come soon. =)  Then here's the culmination of the big tomato I was obsessing about in the last post. I had to pick it because something was eating holes in it (a small bug I presume), but it wasn't quite ready. The orange shoulders were crunchy, but the bottom even though wonky and oddly shaped, it tasted good. Never seen anything like this before.
