Tie dyed green beans and fun with carrots

The purple beans turned out to be even more fun than expected. The bits that were touching other beans when they were cooked turned green so they ended up tie dyed. Pulled some crooked carrots and carrot people (bottom half). The white ones came in the mail from Deb (thx!) and were both really big and quite tasty! For kicks and giggles, after peeling them (aren't they even prettier when they're peeled?) I pickled them. Simple, easy recipe from smittenkitchen (recipe here), using half apple cider vinegar and half white. Definitely will make these again, and also try the same vinegar recipe for beets and green beans, etc.
