October in So Cal

The goings on in the garden this week, in no particular order:  giant tomato, yellow critter who seems suspiciously close to my snow peas, and my winter squash harvest to date. I had so much butternut squash last year that I branched out this year, adding spaghetti (yield only 2) and acorn (yield only 3 of the saddest, tiny squashes ever). But I will try, try again. With one and a half beds ready for more planting, I'll probably plant more seeds in about 2 weeks. Good thing "winter" still works for veggies here in San Diego.
