Here's the baby acorn squashes, some good-looking edamame pods on a tiny plant, my largest butternut squashes so far, and (drumroll please) the first of the watermelon flowers. The watermelon has my utmost attention - gosh I hope a few make it to successful harvest this year.
A few nights ago I had a great dish at the Linkery - sauteed spaghetti squash in a sauce of pureed carrots with some cherry tomatoes. The zucchini with garlic and parmesan I ate for dinner tonight was nice, but nothing compared to the dish at Linkery. Hopefully I can fake it well enough when the orangetti get big enough to eat.
