The birds are my friends

The birds are so nice they told me that my peaches are ripe. The colors have been changing from yellow to orangey pink but they didn't seem soft enough to eat. Since the first yummy ones the birds put holes in, I've tried both picking some in advance of the birds and others left up there to ripen on the tree (apparently they don't ripen unless on the tree). None of them have been as good as the first one the birds selected, but they're still pretty darn good.
