Tree time

Stripped the leaves, pruned, and then sprayed the trees with copper yesterday. It's gradually getting easier to cut, and going to classes at Walter Anderson helps reinforce being heavy handed. The first few years you have to cut a lot which is hard but it pays off in the end. Everything is a little behind schedule, so I'm going to start watering once a week. We're quite low on rainfall here in So Cal, so I'll augment. But there was one peach blossom open on January 1st and the apricot and plums have swollen spurs so that's a good sign. Best of all the farm boy made me steps from which to pick the peaches, which is lovely as it's planted on the side of a hill which gets precarious.
