Baby apples and proof of life

As this is the first year of apples for me, I'm super excited about them. Until they are ready to eat, I'll keep buying them at the store... but can't wait until the trees get bigger and I can munch them all. In the meantime excited to see the newly planted potatoes are alive (picked up a combo pack from my local garden shop, some purple, some yellow and some red) as is the onion I ate most of then stuck in the ground. Sad to read that onions and garlic need to be planted in fall (and it's spring) in order to create bulbs, but hope to remember in fall to get some garlic going. Maybe if I leave the onion in for 1 1/2 years it will make a bulb?
